Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and a writer. She is most well known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage actor in several Broadway productions before gaining to national prominence with Li'l Abner' in 1957. Within the same calendar year she debuted her debut music album called It's Tina Time. Her first appearance into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. In this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. The next role she starred in was through in 1964 when she was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour was able to move between Broadway and Hollywood portraying somber character as opposed her perceived image as an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary however she also established herself as an accomplished television director on numerous series, including Supernatural & The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 27th August, 1965. Her family moved to Toronto when she was three. The city was her home for the duration of her childhood there as well as her adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the role, and has remained to Toronto since then.
