Ariel Winter (born Ariel Winter Workman on Janurary 28th, 1998, in Los Angeles California) is an American performer, actress and vocalist. Ariel Winter began her career as an actress when she was just a few years old, appearing in an Cool Whip advertisement when she was only six years old. Ariel's first role on television began at age seven in a CBS episode called Listen Up! Then she followed it up with roles in shows like Monk Bones and ER. Gretchen was a part of Disney Original Channel's animated series Phineas and Ferb as of 2007. In the following year she was able to get her first live-action performance as Alex Dunphy on the hit TV show Modern Family. Along with her fellow cast members, she won four Screen Actors Guild Awards for the Outstanding Ensemble Performance in the category of Comedy Series.
