Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 and is a Canadian actor. She gained fame due to her role as Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after doing a handful of roles on TV. Memento (2000) earned her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) won her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In a Supporting Role. She also played Jeri Hogarth on several television shows created by Marvel Television for Netflix, especially Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss was a resident in Spain at the time, was offered the role as Tara Marshall who served as the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first TV appearance. With the series, she relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss was forced out of Dark Justice after the third season, and the final. Elisa Heinsohn replaced her as Samantha "Sam". After her return, she enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. In Pasadena she worked as modeling, and later starred on Fox's soap opera, primetime Models Inc.
